Arcane Disciple

Many worlds have gods of magic and clerics who worship them. Some clerics, however, give their devotion not to any deity of magic but to the concept and forces of magic itself. They believe that magic represents the fundamental power underlying all reality and worship it as a force higher than any god. Those arcane disciples believe that all magic is inherently linked, although they have only manage to cross the boundaries between arcane and divine in minor fashion. Many decide to become Mystic Theurges.

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the arcane disciple.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The arcane disciple is proficient with all simple weapons, with light wounds and medium armor, and with shields (except tower shields).

Bonus Feats: At 1st level, at 5th level, and every 5 levels thereafter, the arcane disciple gains a bonus feat. These feats must either be metamagic or item creation.

Arcane to Divine (Ex): At every level, the arcane disciple may choose one arcane spell from either the bard or sorcerer/wizard spell list. This spell must be at least 1 level lower than the highest-level divine spell the character may cast. The arcane disciple may then add this spell to her normal clerical spell list, and forever after may cast it as a divine spell like any other. Furthermore, while the arcane disciple does not technically possess the Magic Domain (as she has no domains to choose from), all spells from the Magic Domain are considered spells for the arcane disciple, and are added to her cleric spell in addition to any arcane spells she chooses as she advances in level.
